RULES AND REGULATIONS:

FORMAT: Each team will compete against every other team in their group in a best-of-three-sets match.  The number of groups will be determined by the number of teams participating.

TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS:

Level of Play:  - 2.5 - 3.5 (Beginning – Intermediate Level).
To Register: Please send an e-mail to Cosmin Miholca at procosmin@yahoo.com. Players must provide their name (and partner's name), email addresses, telephone numbers. Contact information is essential so that participants will be able to arrange matches.  Please register early, as the entry deadline will be strictly enforced. 
- After the teams sign-up, they will receive a confirmation email, which will include the other teams contact information within their group(s).  Matches may begin any time after the tournament start date (see below).
- Each match should be scheduled, played and reported within a one week's time frame.  Every team is responsible for contacting their opponents and scheduling the date, time and place of the match in accordance with their opponents availability. Match sites should be at any San Clemente public court, or wherever both parties agree to.
- Every team is required to bring an unopened can of tennis balls (Penn, Dunlop or Wilson) at the beginning of every match; no practice balls. One can of balls will be used for the match and the winner will take the unopened can.
- Every match is played best of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a 12-point tiebreak at 6 all.
- Before every match, the teams should warm-up against their opponents for 10 minutes (including serve warm-up).
- Once every match is completed, the winning team is responsible to report the score to Cosmin by sending an e-mail to procosmin@yahoo.com. Three points will be awarded to the team that wins in straight sets, two points to the team that wins in three sets; one point to the losing team; 0 points in case of a forfeit or no show. The groups and scores will be updated daily at Cosmin’s personal website www.ProCosmin.com.
- A spirit of fair-play and cooperation is a must for all players!
REGISTRATION FEE: $10 per person - cash only please!  All entry fees will go towards the cost of the trophies and tennis items for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
TOURNAMENT START DATE: Tournament start date will be Monday, May 22 - 2006.  Entry deadline for emails and registration fees is Friday, May 19 - 2006.
